Kim’s Concert will be going on from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Alpine Grove in Hollis.

The event is named after Kimberly Cates, who was murdered in her Mont Vernon home in 2009.

All proceeds will go to benefit the Kimberly L. Cates Memorial Scholarship, which was created by Kim’s husband, David, and daughter, Jaimie.

The scholarship has already helped raise more than $10,000 for local high school graduates pursuing a secondary education in the field of medicine, according to a press release from organizers.

The scholarship was made to honor Cates’ passion for nursing. She was a part-time nurse who worked at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua, Catholic Medical Center in Manchester and the Milford Medical Center.

Led by MC Karl Zahn, a stand-up comic and radio personality, more than a dozen acts will fill Alpine Grove with live music on two stages. The bands and musicians slated to perform throughout the day include: The Milkcrates, The Slakas, Coldstream, Napoleon in Rags, Boston City Rhythm, The Joe Birch Band, Mr. Squid, The Three Amigos, Fatback, Joe McDonald, Joe Young, Max Thorpe and David Ayotte.

Tickets are $30 per person, $15 for kids ages 13 to 18, and free for kids 12 and under.
